Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD in Computer Science or a related field focusing on AI/ML, robotics, HCI, or NLP. Strong programming, technical writing, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to comprehend and reproduce academic results and mentor junior colleagues. Experience working with a fully remote team is also required. Desired qualifications include a strong publication record, experience with patents, familiarity with real-time media streams and digital audio concepts, up-to-date knowledge of LLM and genAI technologies, and understanding of benchmarking and user experience evaluation.

Responsibilities

The Applied Researcher will explore novel approaches to real-world problems, develop and prototype new algorithms and solutions, and collaborate with academic and industry researchers to advance real-time translation technology. Responsibilities include staying current with AI research, contributing to publications and patents, and working with Product Engineering to transition prototypes into production-ready code. The role also involves mentoring junior researchers and interns, distilling technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and contributing positively to the team's collaborative culture.
