Requirements

  • Currently studying towards a Degree in Aerospace engineering, Aeronautical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Production/Manufacturing engineering, Mathematics or Physics
  • Aerodynamics and propulsion based modules studied (e.g., Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Aircraft Performance, Flight Dynamics & Control) – list on application
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
  • Able to achieve required medical and national security clearance (including HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks)

Responsibilities

  • Apply university learning to real-world engineering projects in missile aerodynamics
  • Use bespoke tools and commercial software to evaluate airframe performance
  • Contribute to missile design across stages: concept, assessment, development, in-service
  • Explore stealth, propulsion, thermal, and structural aspects in multi-disciplinary design
  • Work on missile integration onto land, naval, and air platforms
  • Assess integration of solid rocket motors and air-breathing engines on aerodynamics and performance
  • Receive mentorship to learn cutting-edge aerodynamic techniques for future missile designs
