Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of government bidding processes in Brazil

  • Bilingual: Portuguese and English (advanced level)
  • Professional with an academic degree in law eligible to practice in Brazil
  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated work background in comparable roles within the medical devices sector or multinational/transnational enterprises
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, assess risks, and analyze, as well as issue reports and contractual mentorship related to bidding procedures for different businesses
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and respect for confidentiality, organization, and colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Analyze offers, proposals, customer order acceptances, and contracts, ensuring compliance with local laws and internal company policies
  • Help develop business policies and procedures for government sales alongside Brazilian partners and Latin American bidding leaders
  • Aid in the bidding procedures, supporting the bidding team in facilitating communication between clients and business sectors
  • Review commercial offers and contracts with public clients, ensuring that all legal requirements are met and bidding conditions are fulfilled
  • Conduct risk analysis of ongoing bidding processes
  • Support the "GO/NO GO" decision analysis to authorize participation in the bidding process based on risk analysis
  • Advise, analyze, and propose alternatives to resolve controversial situations arising from bidding processes
  • Maintain communication with other areas of the company to ensure timely updates and follow-up on bidding procedures
  • Assist in other necessary tasks to fulfill the requirements of the department and the company's different businesses
  • Coordinate initiatives and projects with other members of the legal department team in other Latin American countries, always seeking improvement opportunities and innovative ways
  • Partner with the bidding team and Compliance to jointly conduct sales-focused training for government clients in Brazil
