  • Persistent approach to daily and weekly cold calling and outreach to secure next-step discovery and capabilities meetings
  • Consistent follow-up with prospects to move them through the sales funnel—from cold call, to discovery, to proposal, to close—and maintain business on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Responsibilities

  • Develop, service, and maintain a base of local clients and/or agencies who purchase advertising space or media services to achieve annual sales goals within assigned sales team
  • Offer zone buying to allow small advertisers to reach customers in their retail trading areas
  • Seek new customers by continuously prospecting following company's planned sales strategies and tactics
  • Analyze, develop, and present market research and advertising proposals to support client activities and products
  • Assist in developing marketing activities to generate local ad sales revenue
  • Interact with various internal departments to carry out client requirements, such as scheduling advertising; monitor account activities and manage collections
  • Maintain up-to-date customer and prospect records and participate in development of sales forecasts
  • Complete required documentation and reporting for processing contracts, advertising schedules, sales calls, and expense reports
  • Analyze confidential information, prepare reports, manuals, agendas, and general correspondence
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
