Responsibilities

Lead flawless launch of CV program and ensure financial health, including securing BOM and supplier tooling costs under budget
Manage/coordinate new program launches related to purchased content under purchasing processes/procedures/policies
Maintain launch reports, ensuring BOM costs, supplier tooling under budget, and on-time program launch
Collaborate with commodity team to define Supplier Bidding List for new parts
Work with cost estimator and commodity buyer to generate BOM costs for new program acquisition
Make and lead sourcing recommendations with commodity team and plants
Conduct APQP with new part suppliers
Coordinate PPAP approval process within receiving plant with SDE/SQE
Act as interface between GSM and other functional departments/plants for purchasing issues related to program launch
Coordinate launch activities within GSM group (Commodity Management, Supplier Development, Launch Activity), including APQP assessment, R@R, audits, supplier capacity commitments
Work with product engineering to develop/implement long- and short-range plans/objectives for cost-competitive, efficient new product designs
Drive new product design sourcing toward BW strategic suppliers and support category strategies
Introduce organization to new technical developments in materials/components to support product engineering objectives
Serve as supplier liaison with product engineering group to ensure fair/ethical treatment in sourcing decisions
Benchmark suppliers and best purchasing practices with other BW plants
Perform job functions in accordance with quality, environmental, and safety policies/procedures
