Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. They should have at least 5 years of software engineering experience, including 2 years working on Ads products and/or growth engineering. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of engineering leadership experience across multiple teams is required, along with experience coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts and working with product and design teams. Knowledge of full stack product development practices (Frontend, Mobile, Backend) is also necessary. Experience working on SMB-related products/projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Engineering Manager will lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers across the full stack, including mobile, frontend, and backend. They will collaborate with designers and product managers to develop new Ad functionality and products, acting as a thought leader in this process. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing a team culture of fast iteration, experimentation, and collaboration, and ensuring the long-term success of both the product and the team's growth. The role involves owning the full development cycle from product ideation to launch, including brainstorming, providing feedback on design documents and product specs, and collaborating with multiple teams across the company to support SMB success on Reddit.
