Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pediatric PA or NP in a high-volume emergency medicine or urgent care setting. Board certification as a Physician Assistant (PANCE) or Nurse Practitioner (CPNP preferred, PNP-AC a plus) is required. Experience managing medically complex pediatrics is mandatory. Active TX, LA, or MO licensure is required, with additional licenses in DC, NY, or FL being preferred. An active DEA Controlled Substance Registration or eligibility for application is necessary. Candidates should have a stable internet connection and a private workspace. Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred, and virtual care experience is a plus.
The Acute Care Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider will deliver virtual urgent care services to members and their caregivers, responding to urgent care needs and triaging cases for mobile field team dispatch. Responsibilities include fostering trusting relationships with patients, families, and communities, providing integrated primary, behavioral, and urgent care, and potentially working with an Acute Care Pediatrician during Mobile Integrated Care visits. This role involves virtually meeting with patients, obtaining histories, assisting with physical exams, ordering tests and treatments, and providing follow-up with providers. The provider will collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in a tech-heavy environment and contribute to improving access to care and addressing healthcare inequity.
