Requirements

  • Business English/Japanese language capability (speaking and writing)
  • Driving License
  • Solid understanding of 12v lead battery
  • 5+ years working experience in auto industries and/or auto manufacturers
  • Experience working at a Japanese automotive company or importer is preferred
  • Automotive technician certification is preferred
  • Computer literate in Windows applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Access preferable)
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and oral communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales and management of ACDelco WDs mainly Toyota Mobility Parts (TMP)
  • Setting and achieving sales targets in line with GMJ and ACDelco's growth strategy
  • Sales support for ACDelco products
  • Coordinate, support, and lead where needed, launch of new products, sales promotions and campaigns
  • Support sales promotion activities of Wholesale Distributors (WDs) mainly TMP
  • Field visits, mainly to TMP/TMP branches sponsored events and product training, day-to-day sales promotion activities
  • Coordinate and Conduct battery product training and plant tours
  • Sales forecasting and simulation, reporting and tracking of total ACDelco sales performance and profitability while capturing trends and challenges in the marketplace inclusive of fluctuations in FX and LME
  • ACDelco annual/monthly sales and budget forecasting based on Finance team request
  • Design, creation, and execution of ACDelco product promotion and campaign planning including creation and development of promotional goods
  • Deep dive analysis for ACDelco product sales promotions activities for making better sales performance and results, best practices are deployed for other TMP branches and WDs in parallel
  • Maintain supply chain of ACDelco products
  • Management day-to-day tasks from order to shipment and invoicing: Tracking, Shipping status reporting to TMPGBS and Conduent related tasks, Supplier coordination (Clarios, Furukawa Battery), Checking GBS monthly sales report, Arranging and negotiation of year-end and new-year shipment and battery delivery to Inazawa-nishi warehouse among TMP, Itochu, and Clarios
  • Development and execution of preventive measures where needed to manage and overcome business/supply chain risks such as union labor strikes, pandemic, including BPC planning of Natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons by communicating with suppliers and logistic partners
  • Handling inquiries and requests from TMP headquarters and branches: Monthly processing (marketing funds), Monthly processing (exchange rate adjustments), Monthly processing (sales promotion support), Monthly processing (corporate leasing), Regular meeting reports (shipment results and shipping schedule)
  • ACDelco team-related tasks including monthly BPD update
  • Support warranty and claim analysis and reporting to WDs, TMP HQ/branches, and Toyota dealers based on their request
  • Handling customers inquiries coming from WDs and ACDelco call center
  • Maintain and updating of battery related contents in ACDelco official website
  • Coordination, negotiation, and creation of ACDelco WD contract mainly TMP 5 years business contract
  • Mentoring and knowledge sharing with colleagues to develop further understanding in the areas of logistics and finances, and the processes involved, aimed to grow and prepare their management competencies to take on management level tasks and assignments
