Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for professional and assertive interaction with global customers. A strong understanding of financial information, including ratio analysis and receivable/collection data, is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (NetSuite is a plus), and business systems is essential, along with solid Excel knowledge. A basic understanding of GAAP and the ability to work independently with strong organizational and planning skills are preferred. Attention to detail is crucial.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will review and supervise outstanding account balances, leading timely invoice collection efforts for slow-paying accounts. They will research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer inquiries professionally. This role involves keeping management informed of credit and collection activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, industry best practices, and debt collection laws. Responsibilities also include assembling documentation for account balance adjustments, communicating with global offices on outstanding receivables, and setting up customer profiles in the accounting system. The specialist will maintain detailed records of customer accounts, transactions, and payment history, collaborate with internal departments to address customer issues, and support revenue and accounts receivable analysis. Additionally, they will contribute to systems and process improvements and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
