Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
  • Certificate IV in Book Keeping and a Diploma in Accounting
  • Hands on experience with Xero accounting software
  • Intermediate computer software skills, including Excel (VLOOKUPs and tables)
  • Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
  • Aged care and NDIS experience preferred
  • Experience in construction and maintenance sector industry preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Accounts Department
  • Manage obligations to suppliers, clients and third party vendors
  • Reconcile financial statements from suppliers
  • Prepare, send and store invoices
  • Manage inter-company transactions
  • Assist with Payroll
  • Ensure Consumer statements are sent out in an accurate, timely and complete manner
  • Handle communications with clients, suppliers and employees via phone, email and in-person
  • Assist with audits, reviews and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets
  • Undertake additional financial tasks or projects as assigned by the senior management team
  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to implement more efficient and effective procedures
  • Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations
