Accountant (General Accounting & Bookkeeping) - EST Hours (Remote) at A1M Solutions

Yes, this is a fully remote working role with no office requirements.

The role requires working EST hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm EST (15h00 to 24h00 South African time, subject to change with daylight savings), including both South African and US public holidays.

Candidates need a minimum of 2 years’ solid accounting/bookkeeping experience, strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, proficiency with accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or similar, and Microsoft Excel, plus experience preparing management accounts and handling reconciliations.

A fixed fibre line with minimum 25 Mbps upload and download speeds supporting wired Ethernet is mandatory, along with a reliable power backup solution for load shedding.

Strong candidates will have at least 2 years of solid accounting/bookkeeping experience, a full grasp of the accounting cycle, proficiency in tools like QuickBooks or Xero and Excel, and experience with reconciliations, month-end closes, management reports, and client interaction—not entry-level applicants.
