Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an analytical or accounting capacity, with experience working with numbers, billing inquiries, reporting, finance, etc
  • BA strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with underwriters and CoE partners to develop and deliver tailored solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Eager to learn from experiences and new situations
  • Great at navigating and switching between proprietary, vendor, web-based, and standard computer systems according to priorities
  • Great at identifying problems and coming up with appropriate solutions
  • Customer service mindset and ability to proactively engage with a variety of clients and promptly respond to phone calls and/or emails
  • Ability to maintain accurate and updated files
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with regional underwriters and/or more senior UW Support employees in the end-to-end processing of new and renewal business
  • Researching accounts, analyzing data, reporting, and handling billing inquiries
  • Evaluating new and renewal submissions against prescribed criteria to determine completeness
  • Identifying and resolving account alerts and blocks during the submission process to avoid account conflicts
  • Performing data analytics, remodeling when necessary, referral documentation preparation and completion, as well as form checklist and working approval
  • Providing technical guidance to other junior support staff while working under moderate supervision
  • Assisting with training and oversight of less experienced support staff
