Account Executive Maritime (New Business)

Position Overview

Kpler is seeking a highly motivated Account Executive for its Sales team, specializing in the Maritime sector. This role focuses on selling a disruptive technology solution and acquiring new business (hunting new logos) within the Nordic region. Kpler is dedicated to simplifying global trade information and providing valuable insights to clients in the commodities, energy, and maritime sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle: prospect new business, develop opportunities, demo the product, and close sales.
  • Follow up on highly qualified opportunities at mid-sized and large companies.
  • Build relationships with prospects and internal stakeholders to grow new business.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, responding to client requests promptly and thoroughly, and achieving annual growth quotas.
  • Collaborate with the global Sales team, product, and market analysts to enhance the product and close deals.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts.
  • Consistently close new business at or above quota level.
  • Contribute to building and driving sales processes and strategy.

Requirements

  • +3 years of experience in a Sales (New Business) role.
  • Proven experience selling SaaS/tech/data specifically targeting the Maritime/Shipping/Logistics sector across the Nordics region (MUST HAVE).
  • Fluent in English. Nordic languages are a significant plus.
  • Significant experience generating brand-new business sales opportunities.
  • Driven and self-disciplined: ability to work autonomously in unstructured, fast-paced, and ever-changing environments.
  • Team player: prioritizes the business and aims to maximize long-term gains for the team.
  • Strong sales negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent customer service, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex client requirements and needs.
  • Great attitude and motivation, with a hunter mindset.
  • Must have the right to work and live in Denmark. Visa sponsorship is not provided.
