Candidates should have at least 2 years of technology sales experience or church growth experience, with more than 1 year of working with and closing business with parish leaders. A deep understanding of the Catholic church, its purchasing decisions, and the Catholic market is essential. Strong business and financial acumen, executive engagement skills, interpersonal communication skills, a sense of urgency, bias towards action, ability to prioritize, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, high emotional intelligence, strong time management skills, openness to feedback, and a customer-first strategy are also required. Proficiency in telephone skills and the ability to travel to prospects are necessary.
The Account Executive will identify and develop a pipeline of prospective parish customers through research, cold-calling, internet, and professional networking. They will manage the entire sales process from prospect to close, including product demonstration, negotiating, and closing contracts. This role involves collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Sales Development, Marketing, and Implementation, and managing travel and entertainment budgets. The Account Executive is expected to consistently over-achieve sales quotas, search out and start new endeavors, bring structure to ambiguous situations, connect with all types of people, and maintain a high level of daily activity, including making numerous calls and sending follow-up emails. Responsibilities also include cultivating relationships for account expansion and continuously learning about the competitive landscape to effectively position Pushpay.
