Proficiency with inspection tools (Micrometer, Caliper, Drop gages, etc.)
Preferred experience with Waterbury, Reed, Hartford, Automatic, Handfeed thread roll machines
Blueprint reading
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
Ability to stand for the entire shift
Ability to work in an un-air-conditioned shop environment
Ability to bend, twist, and squat in awkward positions for prolonged periods
Ability to exert force (pushing or pulling) on hand tools used to adjust machines
Manual dexterity and visual acuity for detailed work
Responsibilities
Set, operate, and troubleshoot thread roll machines as required
Efficiently produce quality products meeting expectations using manufacturing drawings, process control documents, training materials, and departmental work instructions
Utilize internal measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, gages, etc
Maintain the entire workplace in a safe, clean operating condition daily
Communicate pertinent and/or necessary information to fellow employees
Gather materials for production (part drawings, tool drawings, production schedules, production requirements, production reports, etc.)
Report set-up and production in the K-Lite production tracking system
Detect and report faulty machine/equipment conditions, material anomalies, part/tool drawing discrepancies, or other unusual shop floor activities
Keep machines in best operating condition, including replacing worn fasteners, machine parts, or tooling
Participate in trainings and/or train others as required
May conduct training with new department employees
