Requirements

Expert-level understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) and wireless networking protocols
Advanced Linux kernel networking and driver development experience
Experience in embedded systems architecture
Design, develop and testing of Wi-Fi software features for Wi-Fi gateway/extender product
Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi performance testing tools and methodologies & network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
Experience with test automation frameworks (a plus)

Responsibilities

Validate product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base
Develop and maintain code that validates front-end, middleware, and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages
Evaluate new frameworks for automation solutions and develop test automation best practices
Partner with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices
Represent test automation team's frameworks and methodologies to senior leadership and external engineering teams
Repair complex broken automation scripts and resolve coding bugs in the product codebase
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex systems problems
Plans and leads team projects and may act as a cross-functional liaison
Works across multiple project teams to ensure common practices
Acts as a subject matter expert
May be responsible for leading a team, but does not directly manage people
Provide technical assistance to teams to troubleshoot Customer Wi-Fi issues
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for Wi-Fi features, including functional, performance, security, and compatibility testing
Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them through the bug tracking system (e.g., Jira)
Collaborate with developers and triage engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Contribute to the improvement of QE processes and best practices
Mentoring and technical guidance for junior engineers
Strategic technology roadmap planning
Work in an Agile/DevOps environment
