Requirements

  • Leadership experience in sales, particularly in field sales for business cards, payments, or B2B products targeting small and mid-sized businesses
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue and financial objectives, including purchase volume, new account acquisition, account penetration, profit, cost, and productivity targets
  • Strong day-to-day leadership skills, including recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and developing sales leaders and teams
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing, locally based teams in the West Region (Mountain and Pacific time zones)
  • Experience in strategic and tactical planning to drive growth, market share, revenue, cross-sell, sales force growth, productivity, market penetration, customer retention, and profit goals
  • Deep passion for coaching, developing others, and fostering a dynamic sales culture
  • Knowledge of legal, compliance, and regulatory guidelines for customer and prospect interactions
  • Ability to champion partnerships with headquarters support teams, local retail, and small business banking relationships
  • Skills in program management, providing sales leadership and direction

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Local Market Leaders to achieve revenue and financial objectives in the West Region
  • Deliver superior growth and profitability by meeting or exceeding targets in purchase volume, new account acquisition, account penetration, profit, cost, productivity, while ensuring outstanding customer and associate experiences
  • Provide sales leadership, direction, and program management to the team
  • Build a dynamic sales culture aligned with the broader Field strategy to achieve account acquisition and purchase volume goals
  • Participate in strategic/tactical planning with BC&P Field leadership to drive growth, market share, revenue, cross-sell, sales force growth, productivity, market penetration, customer retention, and profit goals
  • Ensure all customer and prospect interactions comply with Capital One's legal, compliance, and regulatory guidelines
  • Champion partnerships with headquarters support teams and local Retail and Small Business banking relationships
  • Select, orient, train, coach, develop, motivate, and conduct joint work with the team of Market Leaders
  • Partner with other Regional Vice Presidents for consistent execution of sales and client development strategies
  • Champion voice of client and voice of associate feedback to support continuous improvement
