Requirements

  • High School Certificate or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in gas turbine components repairs
  • Qualified welder per ASME IX or equivalent standard
  • Desired Characteristics
  • Perform dye penetrant test and inspection
  • Extensive knowledge of welding
  • Experience with gas turbine components repairs & assembly
  • Understands and usage of measuring instruments

Responsibilities

  • Repairing GT Buckets / Blades and other HGP / Combustion components
  • Understanding / following shop routing, Work instructions, drawings, engineering requirements & Welding procedures (WPS)
  • Performing spot DPI / Visual check on repaired area
  • Using measuring instruments
  • Performing the required task efficiently with no or little supervision
  • Completing required documentation with accurate information such as routers / job card, labor reporting, checklist, and forms
  • Working closely with cell leader, Engineer to ensure efficient operation of equipment
  • Maintaining a clean work area and contribute towards overall housekeeping efforts and other duties as needed
  • Updating digital shop systems related to assigned work (Digital Work Order, Time Vouchering, Operation completion)
  • Ensuring the work area is compliance with HSE requirement and full compliance with BH Policies / Procedures
  • Work with respective cell leader of the Qatar Service Center to make sure all BH standards and Organizational need are met
  • Perform Weld Repairs / grinding / blending / NDT/ Dimensional / Inspection related activities on the gas Turbine buckets / blades and GT components
