Requirements

  • One year experience in industrial maintenance, or equivalent certification from a technical school
  • Experience or certification including knowledge in industrial hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronics, plumbing, and welding
  • Knowledge in the operation of PLC’s is a plus
  • Strong electronic skill set
  • Minimum of 1 year of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program (can be a combination of employers)
  • Willing to lift 70 lbs. periodically throughout the shift on a daily basis
  • Willing to work on feet for a period of 12 hours
  • Willing to complete all required training for the job
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to use math for work-related computations (e.g., machinery, fluid capacities)
  • Willing to learn Tyson SAP software for work orders and daily documentation

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
  • Maintain and promote the Tyson Safety culture
  • Receive training as required
  • Perform various duties as required/assigned
  • Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
  • Train Maintenance techs on equipment
  • Order parts as needed and follow-up on parts orders with outstanding POs
  • Keep machinery running to maintain continuous production
  • Set up, adjust, and break down production line machinery
  • Fill in for absenteeism or assist in other areas of the plant
  • Communicate with Team Members, producers, USDA personnel, and drivers
