Responsibilities

  • Developing datalink systems to communicate between platforms and missiles (NC)
  • Working with communication and networking technologies and techniques (NC)
  • Planning and conducting tests in the Comms and Cyber Lab (NC)
  • Designing Network Enabled Weapons and influencing key concept and strategy decisions (NC)
  • Developing networks that support weapon systems in the battlespace (NC)
  • Helping with future developments in technology and systems (NC)
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including suppliers and external MBDA customers (NC)
  • Sub-System & Equipment Requirements generation and management (WSE)
  • Technical management of equipment development, production, and delivery to meet customer milestones (WSE)
  • Managing equipment and hardware development trials (WSE)
  • Developing equipment policies and technical standards to improve capability (WSE)
  • Regular contact with partners including external MBDA customers and suppliers (WSE)
  • Working with multi-disciplined teams across all parts of the product lifecycle (WSE)
  • Requirement definition, design evolution, qualification, and project management of communication systems, sub-systems, and technologies (NC general)
  • Optimising end-to-end mission performance through algorithms (WSAP)
