Requirements

Candidates must possess a minimum high school diploma or GED, and are required to obtain necessary certifications within 24 months of hire, specifically a D Level Biological Wastewater and D Level Water Distribution certification. The role necessitates general knowledge of utility and company policies and procedures, as well as the ability to obtain and maintain relevant licenses and certifications within the industry, with reimbursement provided by Woodard & Curran.

Responsibilities

The Water/Wastewater Technician will assist operators with all required job duties, take and record instrument readings, report irregularities, collect samples and perform laboratory analysis, maintain utility tracts through cleaning, maintain utility grounds, read water meters and record usage, install water meters, locate and report issues with utility infrastructure, assist with water and sewage line repairs, check pump stations, and assist with pump and sewer line maintenance. Furthermore, the Technician will serve in an on-call capacity to respond to after-hours emergencies and be responsible for the safeguarding and maintenance of personal protective equipment and issued tools.
