Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other applicable engineering field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 7+ years of experience in water resources discipline
  • Experience as project engineer or project manager for wastewater, drinking water, and/or stormwater design projects
  • Experience with project management and accounting software (helpful)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Work as a project engineer and/or project manager with responsibility for wastewater, drinking water, and stormwater projects
  • Supervise work groups which include engineers and/or technicians
  • Ensure project designs are in conformance with the latest design specifications
  • Perform design quantity computations and checks
  • Plan, schedule, or coordinate the preparation of documents or activities for projects
  • Provide mentorship to junior level staff
  • Understand and work with surveying data provided from survey department
  • Read and interpret schematic and construction plans
  • Apply a variety of specification regulations, policies and standards to assure compliance with various Federal, State, and local rules and regulations
  • Review operational practices to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures
  • Complete other duties as needed
