High School Degree or Equivalent
Valid Florida Driver's License
Valid State of Florida Class "C" Drinking Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license (dual certification in Water and Wastewater is an added benefit)
Ability to make sound decisions in process control, follow instructions, and follow safety procedures
Reliable and dependable attendance
Availability for standby duty, on-call (including evenings, weekends, holidays), and response to emergency events and alarm callouts
Successful completion of background check, pre-placement physical, and drug screen

Responsibilities

Monitor water/wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, adjusting as necessary to control their operation
Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards
Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties
Operate sludge residual equipment and processes
Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintain all necessary records
Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties
Participate in daily operations and maintenance of 3 Water and 2 Wastewater Treatment Facilities as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator
