Requirements

Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere: Ability to install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), High Availability (HA), and vSphere Update Manager
Deep understanding of virtualization technologies and their impact on system performance, including virtual CPU, memory, and storage
Experience with VMware NSX: Proficient in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting NSX environments, including designing and deploying NSX in complex data center environments, working with physical network infrastructure, firewall policies, and load balancers
Knowledge of Storage technologies: Experience working with SAN, NAS, and iSCSI; strong understanding of Storage architecture, including hardware and software components such as controllers, shelves, and Storage OS
Knowledge on HPE Nimble preferred; experience in managing and configuring Storage, including setting up storage pools, volumes, snapshots, and replication
Ability to monitor Storage infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, tune storage systems for optimal performance, and troubleshoot issues related to HPE Nimble Storage (e.g., connectivity, hardware, performance problems)
Understanding of Cloud Management Platform Architecture and cloud computing

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain private cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and network components
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to private cloud infrastructure, including performance and security-related issues
Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting and automation tools
Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
Work collaboratively with other IT teams to ensure proper integration and functionality of private cloud systems with other IT systems
Develop and maintain documentation of private cloud infrastructure, including procedures, best practices, and architecture diagrams
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed
Provide customer service and technical support to internal and external clients
Mentor and train junior team members
