Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant is required, along with exceptional communication skills and a passion for patient experience. Detail-orientation, flexibility, adaptability, and strong organizational and multitasking abilities are essential. Experience with virtual care is preferred.
The Virtual Medical Assistant will prepare patients for physician visits, ensuring technical readiness and obtaining necessary documentation like consent forms and insurance information. Clinical duties include taking medical information over the phone and meticulously documenting medication lists, medical history, and primary complaints. Administrative tasks involve answering calls, scheduling appointments and labs, confirming appointments, performing chart checks, and preparing charts for upcoming visits. The role also entails identifying opportunities for process improvement, risk mitigation, and enhancing patient communication and relationships.
