Supabase is seeking a Video Producer to elevate its video content. This is a new, high-visibility role with creative ownership, focused on developing and scaling video production across various formats, including product launches, tutorials, documentaries, and developer shorts. The producer will shape Supabase's on-screen presence, manage production end-to-end, collaborate with internal teams, work with external editors/agencies, and assist with setting up and running shoots in San Francisco. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a blend of creativity and operational skills who can generate and execute ideas within a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own Supabase's video pipeline from conception to final cut.
  • Plan, produce, and publish content across diverse formats such as tutorials, product launches, shorts, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes features.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (growth, product, DevRel) to translate ideas into visual content.
  • Manage editors, agencies, and other production partners.
  • Coordinate shoots in San Francisco and potentially contribute to designing an on-site studio setup.
  • Develop a system for promoting and repurposing video content across various platforms.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance Supabase's communication with developers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience shipping high-quality videos for product-driven or technical companies.
  • Ability to plan, storyboard, and manage timelines across multiple projects.
  • Skill in eliciting great work from editors or agencies.
  • Willingness to be hands-on with shooting, coordinating, or editing when necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving startup environment with minimal supervision.
  • Aptitude for transforming complex ideas into engaging visual content.
  • Strong creative opinions coupled with a flexible attitude.
  • Excellent project management skills across video formats and timelines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration instincts.
  • A portfolio or reel showcasing polished and playful video work.
  • Ability to operate independently and with creative ownership.

Bonus Experience

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere or similar editing software.
  • Familiarity with cinematography or managing video shoots.
  • Experience with DevTools, PLG products, or technical brands.
  • Experience building or contributing to a YouTube presence from scratch.
  • Experience shooting content in a studio environment or assisting in studio build-outs.
