Requirements

  • Experience managing a sub-function/function for a sub-region/sub-business unit, or all operations within a country, including multiple teams led by Directors and/or Senior Directors
  • Ability to provide goals and objectives for a significant function/sub-function or business unit
  • Capability to perform work independently within corporate guidelines
  • Proven track record in leading the development and authorization of short to mid-term strategies for own organization (e.g., sub-function/function for a region/business unit, or all operations within a country)
  • Accountability for achievement of overall results for own organization
  • Management authority to make significant business and strategic decisions, including control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and approving changes to methods and practices
  • Experience with budget or P&L accountability for a business unit across geographies, divisions, product groups, or service groups
  • Ability to handle highly complex, undefined problems requiring extensive information gathering, analysis, and investigation, with in-depth knowledge of the company, competitive environment, technology, and economic/social implications
  • Participation in development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria
  • Strong communication skills with parties within and outside the job function, including customers, vendors, and senior executive leadership on strategic matters
  • Experience conducting executive strategy and planning sessions with senior leaders internally and externally
  • Ability to influence across functions and businesses to negotiate and gain cooperation on divergent objectives

  • Implementing operational strategy and efficiency improvements
  • Developing, implementing, monitoring, and achieving strategic plans for advancing the company's products and/or services to meet market demands within the geographic area of responsibility, within general financial plans provided by corporate management
  • Directing, through functional executives, all or most related operational, administrative, and financial functions
  • Coordinating regional operations with the assistance of corporate management
  • Overseeing area of responsibility and directing the responsibilities of employees (direct and/or indirect reports) to achieve goals
  • Leading the development and authorization of short to mid-term strategies for own organization
  • Ensuring achievement of overall results for own organization
