Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year University
Minimum of 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience
Thorough knowledge of the gases, related hard goods, and transportation industries strongly preferred
Experience in establishing business strategy, short-range and long-range strategies
Experience in establishing, controlling and managing operating budgets and annual operating plans and objectives
Experience leading multi-level regionally located locations in both organized and non-organized associate environments
Proven experience leading manufacturing organizations through operations excellence, including planning and scheduling, schedule adherence, and driving continuous improvement methodologies
Strong communication skills, including negotiation, influence, and consensus building to interface with employees/customers at all levels, external customers, vendors, and agencies
Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the Company
Willingness to travel 25%-30%

Responsibilities

Leads and directs the Operations function for the region, emphasizing safety, financial, growth, and customer service objectives
Manages the activities of various Area Operations Managers responsible for fill plant operations and transportation
Provides leadership and direction to control the manufacture and distribution of packaged gases
Manages and coordinates safety, maintenance, compliance, capital expenditures, and budgeting functions of the Operations function
Leads teams to develop and establish safety, quality, and delivery goals and objectives for products and services for internal and external customers
Creates a strong people strategy focused on a culture of safety, performance management, talent management, and positive work culture by hiring, training, motivating, planning and directing work, managing performance, and resolving associate issues to meet or exceed performance targets
Develops capital expenditure budget and coordinates capital expenditures once proper approvals have been received
