Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site operations, preferably in veterinary, healthcare, or service-related industries
Strong financial acumen with experience in P&L responsibility
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams across multiple locations
Exceptional communication, organizational, and change management skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of veterinary hospitals within AVP’s portfolio
Ensure consistency of operational standards, processes, and policies across all locations
Partner with Medical Directors and Practice Managers to align medical quality and client experience goals
Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, workflow, and employee engagement
Collaborate with the executive team to define and implement business strategies for growth and profitability
Develop and monitor performance metrics for hospital operations
Oversee financial performance of hospitals, ensuring revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost control
Review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Lead monthly AVP scorecard discussions to review performance
Mentor, coach, and develop Practice Managers, Regional Managers, and Regional Director of Operations
Create succession planning programs to build future leadership within the organization
Foster a culture that supports employee engagement, client-centered service, and continuous learning
Ensure all hospitals comply with federal, state, and local regulations
Maintain high standards of patient care and client service
Lead initiatives for accreditation, safety, and risk management
