  • 1 year experience in animal related field
  • Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to work an alternative schedule (Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday, 7:30am – 6pm) given the nature of the Emergency department
  • Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
  • Positive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitude

Responsibilities

  • Help keep the hospital stocked, clean and organized
  • Run many different diagnostics in our laboratory
  • Assist doctors and staff with safely restraining animals of different sizes and breeds
  • Room clients and obtain a medical history
  • Walk dogs
  • Obtain vitals
  • Place IVC and obtain blood samples (once trust is built with the team)
  • Run laboratory tests (once trust is built with the team)
  • Provide SQ Fluids and medications to patients with oversight (once trust is built with the team)
  • Triage patients (once trust is built with the team)
  • Calculate and administer medications (once trust is built with the team)
