Requirements

1 year experience in animal related field
Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
Ability to work an alternative schedule (Sunday, Monday, Friday, and Saturday, 7:30am – 6pm) given the nature of the Emergency department
Commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community
Positive outlook and friendly, team-orientated attitude
Excellent communication and organizational skills
The ability to deliver exceptional client service
Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun

Responsibilities

Help keep the hospital stocked, clean and organized
Run many different diagnostics in our laboratory
Assist doctors and staff with safely restraining animals of different sizes and breeds
Room clients and obtain a medical history
Walk dogs
Obtain vitals
Place IVC and obtain blood samples (once trust is built with the team)
Run laboratory tests (once trust is built with the team)
Provide SQ Fluids and medications to patients with oversight (once trust is built with the team)
Triage patients (once trust is built with the team)
Calculate and administer medications (once trust is built with the team)
