Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typically 6+ years of relevant work experience in Life Insurance & Annuities IT
Minimum of 5+ years in DXC IP Vantage or wmA
Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
Strong programming and debugging skills
Experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
Strong organizational and time management skills
Other Qualifications (Preferred)
Advanced degree in a related field

Responsibilities

Work closely with a large insurance client across all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, maintenance, version upgrades, conversions, and migrations
Take ownership of role by driving process improvements, implementing best practices, sharing knowledge, and fostering continuous learning
Represent DXC in front of the client, leveraging understanding of their needs to deliver robust, clean, and scalable solutions
Support a team of software engineers in development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure successful delivery of software projects
Assist in professional growth and mentorship of team members through feedback, coaching, and career development planning
Contribute to execution of software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments
Manage project tasks and assignments, prioritizing and planning work to meet project goals
Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise
Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
