Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in UX research, ideally with exposure to technical systems, robotics, or supply chain industries
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, Anthropology, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
  • Proficiency in UX research methodologies, including resonance testing, concept validation, and usability testing
  • Experience with research tools such as Miro, UserTesting, Lookback, or similar platforms for conducting and analyzing studies
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS, or Tableau) for quantitative research
  • Knowledge of supply chain operations or robotics systems (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and derive meaningful insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to share findings with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
  • Experience conducting research for hardware-software integrated systems, such as robotics (preferred)
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to ensure inclusive user experiences (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations (up to 10% travel may be required)
  • Ability to own a credit card and manage expenses personally for reimbursement

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Resonance Testing: Design and execute resonance testing to gauge user reactions, emotional responses, and alignment with proposed design concepts for robotics interfaces and software
  • Perform Concept Validation: Plan and conduct studies to validate design concepts, ensuring they meet user needs and business objectives within the supply chain and robotics context
  • Execute Usability Testing: Develop and lead usability testing sessions for prototypes, existing systems, and new features, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement
  • Gather User Insights: Use qualitative and quantitative methods, such as interviews, surveys, and observations, to understand user behaviors, preferences, and challenges in interacting with robotic systems
  • Analyze and Synthesize Data: Translate research findings into clear, actionable insights through reports, presentations, and visualizations to guide design and development teams
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate research insights into product development and refine user experiences
  • Advocate for Users: Champion user-centered design principles, ensuring user needs are prioritized throughout the product lifecycle
  • Stay Current with Trends: Keep up-to-date with UX research methodologies, supply chain technologies, and robotics trends to inform research practices
