UX Graphic Designer (Contractor, Full-Time)

Position Overview

This is a remote, full-time contract position open to candidates across Brazil. The role requires fluent English communication with clients and coworkers in the US, UK, and Australia. The UX Graphic Designer will collaborate with the Design Director, other designers, editorial staff, and account managers to ensure the timely and quality production of information graphics, iconography, and custom illustrations. Ideal candidates will maintain high design standards, provide excellent customer service, conduct graphic research, meet daily deadlines, and possess solid typography skills.

Responsibilities

• Create UX mockups and wireframes using Figma and Adobe XD.
• Design UX landing pages in WordPress using the Elementor plugin.
• Perform page and brochure design using InDesign and Illustrator.
• Apply best practices for UX design, including ADA Compliance and CTAs.
• Translate researched information into visually stimulating and intellectually engaging typography, illustration, and infographics.
• Order and search for stock images.
• Transition easily between multiple topics and branding guidelines.
• Incorporate feedback and updates to completed graphics.
• Ensure the timely delivery of graphics per assigned delivery dates.
• Maintain strong written and oral communication skills in fluent English.

Requirements

• Portfolio: Must include UX design and landing page examples.
• Design Skills: Strong layout and color application skills. Page and brochure layout designs should be demonstrated in the portfolio.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Software Experience:
  • Figma experience is required.
  • Experience with WordPress and the Elementor plugin is highly prioritized.
  • Experience using platforms like Google Slides and MS PowerPoint for presentation design.
• Conceptual Thinking: Strong conceptual thinker.
• Client Interaction: Experience speaking and working directly with clients.

Remote Work & Equipment

• This is a 100% remote working role.
• While your immediate supervisor will be based in the Boston Office (US), you will operate day-to-day in your local timezone.
• Flexibility to adjust your schedule occasionally for meetings or calls with staff and clients in Australia, New Zealand, or the US is required.
• You must be set up to operate effectively from your own workspace and be comfortable with pure remote/home-based working.
• Remote designers are responsible for providing and maintaining, at their own cost and expense, their own office facilities, including computer infrastructure, internet connection, and any industry-related hardware.
