Requirements

  • At least 6 months experience in an industrial operations environment strongly preferred; experience in plastic extrusion, colorants and additives or related manufacturing or warehouse environment desired
  • Ability to read/comprehend all instructions and policies in English
  • Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide and apply to weights, measures of volume, speed, and distance
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English during one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to use computers to enter worked time, log production, and complete assigned training
  • Effective problem-solving skills and basic level of mechanical aptitude
  • Sets high standards of work performance; assumes responsibility and accountability for completing assignments or tasks
  • Flexibility to be assigned any task across all company functions or locations as needed
  • Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24-hour operation (7 day shifts and 7 night shifts in a 28-day period)
  • Forklift certification may be required depending on assignment

Responsibilities

  • Package all product types, including weighing, labeling, and inspecting products to meet quality and shipping standards
  • Perform blending, grinding, compounding of plastic materials, and warehouse assignments
  • Monitor all production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Report equipment and processing issues to supervision
  • Ensure materials meet recipe specifications and load designated materials into machinery
  • Examine products and materials visually and/or physically to ensure quality and proper packaging specifications
  • Complete and maintain all required system inputs and transactions; ensure data integrity
  • Document work completed, including logs, data reports, procedures, etc
  • Participate in training, meetings, and continual improvement processes and methods
  • Assist and gain knowledge of all required machine and tooling cleaning procedures
  • Maintain plant housekeeping standards
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
