Requirements

At least 6 months experience in an industrial operations environment strongly preferred; experience in plastic extrusion, colorants and additives or related manufacturing or warehouse environment desired
Ability to read/comprehend all instructions and policies in English
Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide and apply to weights, measures of volume, speed, and distance
Ability to effectively communicate in English during one-on-one and small group situations
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to use computers to enter worked time, log production, and complete assigned training
Effective problem-solving skills and basic level of mechanical aptitude
Sets high standards of work performance; assumes responsibility and accountability for completing assignments or tasks
Flexibility to be assigned any task across all company functions or locations as needed
Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts in a 24-hour operation (7 day shifts and 7 night shifts in a 28-day period)
Forklift certification may be required depending on assignment

Responsibilities

Package all product types, including weighing, labeling, and inspecting products to meet quality and shipping standards
Perform blending, grinding, compounding of plastic materials, and warehouse assignments
Monitor all production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
Report equipment and processing issues to supervision
Ensure materials meet recipe specifications and load designated materials into machinery
Examine products and materials visually and/or physically to ensure quality and proper packaging specifications
Complete and maintain all required system inputs and transactions; ensure data integrity
Document work completed, including logs, data reports, procedures, etc
Participate in training, meetings, and continual improvement processes and methods
Assist and gain knowledge of all required machine and tooling cleaning procedures
Maintain plant housekeeping standards
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
