Candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in cognitive/experimental psychology, human factors engineering, or related field, at least 10 years of experience in a related field with task analysis, UI design, and usability testing, and 5+ years of UX design and testing experience. US citizenship and position-appropriate security clearance (e.g., Active TS/SCI with polygraph) are required.
The role involves joining the software development team to work on a highly complex application, collaborating with developers, managers, system engineers, product designers, process engineers, and users (analysts) in a collaborative environment serving federal government customers.
Strong candidates will have an advanced degree in relevant fields, professional certifications like Certified Human Factors Specialist (CHFS), and experience across usability and software engineering phases including analysis, design, implementation, and deployment.
