  • Capability to create and process work orders, assess maintenance/repair needs, identify parts/solutions, select best solutions, and conduct repairs (e.g., tires, flats, balancing, landing gear, lights, trailer doors) following company and DOT guidelines
  • Ability to seek approval for maintenance/repairs from qualified shop technicians
  • Proficiency in communicating verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, associates, and completing work orders, records, logs, and documents
  • Knowledge or ability to receive fuel drops, conduct fuel sampling, monitor safety compliance, handle fuel additives, monitor tank levels, collect/prepare/ship samples, and complete paperwork
  • Availability for Wednesday - Saturday 0500-1530 schedule

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on Walmart equipment (e.g., trailers) under direct supervision, including creating/processing work orders, assessing needs, identifying parts/solutions, conducting repairs (e.g., dismounting/installing tires, repairing flats, balancing tires, adjusting landing gear, replacing lights, trailer door repairs), following company and DOT guidelines
  • Seek approval for maintenance and repairs from qualified shop technicians
  • Communicate with individuals/groups (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates) verbally and in writing
  • Complete work orders, records, logs, and other written/computer-based documents per procedures
  • Receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling: monitor drops for safety compliance, follow procedures for additives, monitor tank levels, collect/prepare/ship samples for analysis, complete paperwork
  • Collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities/deadlines; carry out tasks; communicate progress; recommend improvements; adapt to change/feedback
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity standards; implement action plans; apply Open Door Policy
