Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic planning and execution of Walmart Connect’s full portfolio of internal and/or external events
  • Define event objectives, KPIs, measurement frameworks, and success criteria aligned to marketing and business goals
  • Manage and develop two Industry Marketing Managers, fostering collaboration, elevating capabilities, and ensuring consistent excellence across all event workstreams
  • Present event strategies, concepts, and plans to senior stakeholders for alignment and approval
  • Build and manage cross-functional timelines, workflows, kick-offs, and stakeholder planning processes
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Communications, Product Marketing, Media Insights, Executive leadership and more to ensure programming, storytelling, and experience design support strategic priorities
  • Collaborate with Brand & Content Strategy and Creative teams to develop cohesive, narrative-driven event experiences and maintain consistent brand identity across all stages, activations, collateral, and digital touchpoints
  • Lead venue sourcing, site visits, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and contract management across production, A/V, F&B, décor, and logistics
  • Oversee registration, attendee management, rooming lists, itineraries, and all on-site operations
  • Serve as the on-site captain — guiding vendors, supporting leadership, welcoming guests, and resolving issues in real time
  • Lead post-event surveys, reporting, and performance insights to measure impact
  • Oversee budget management, vendor payments, and reconciliation
  • Document learnings and identify opportunities to innovate, streamline, and enhance future experiences
  • Always act in accordance with Walmart values and our everyday low-cost ethos
