Requirements
- Compliance with Board of Pharmacy statutes and regulations
- Knowledge of HIPAA, SOP, QA policies, standards, and procedures
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and explain financial data and information
- Understanding of Company financial policies and procedures
- Skills in managing budgets, assets, liabilities, revenues, and operating expenses
- Ability to analyze reports, implement loss prevention and safety controls, and oversee operational and quality assurance reviews
- Knowledge of proper policies and procedures for advising on, verifying, and dispensing products, customer insurance, and licensure issues
Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive patient care by processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and administering other Walmart programs
- Drives sales and profit in Pharmacy and OTC areas through effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, instock, inventory levels, budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional relationships
- Models, enforces, and provides direction on customer service approaches to resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues within Company guidelines
- Oversees implementation of and participates in community outreach programs, encouraging Associates to serve as good community members
- Ensures compliance with Company and legal policies by analyzing reports, monitoring loss prevention/safety, overseeing reviews, and providing direction on programs and initiatives
- Supervises and develops Associates through selecting, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing feedback/recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset
- Ensures confidentiality of information, documentation, and records per Company and legal guidelines
- Manages Pharmacy Operations, conducts Associate meetings, aligns operations with Company/regulatory standards, ensures adherence to policies for products/insurance/licensure, and documents/shares updates on products/procedures
- Oversees Inventory Flow by monitoring processes, identifying merchandise to order, ensuring proper execution, and addressing facility problems
- Manages Finances by demonstrating financial skills, managing budgets, aligning performance with business needs, complying with policies, compiling/evaluating data, and monitoring trends
- Creates a culture of patient care, safety, and accuracy; communicates expectations; ensures accountability for SOPs and quality/safety goals; provides counseling/information on new therapies/items; analyzes/improves team knowledge on safety/risk reduction; promotes reporting
