Requirements

  • Ability to process work orders, prioritize orders, and maintain inventory accuracy using system software
  • Skills in sorting, placing, storing, and moving freight manually
  • Experience or ability to produce corrective eyewear in Finish Department: tracing, blocking, first inspection, producing lenses, edging, mounting lenses in frames, assembling eyewear, and completing cosmetic add-ons (e.g., polish, tint)
  • Experience or ability to produce corrective eyewear in Surface Department: layout, taping, blocking, creating curvature and thickness of lenses per prescription, using lens grinding equipment, applying hard coating, and preparing lenses for add-ons (e.g., tint, no glare)
  • Capacity to maintain quality standards by reviewing work tickets, adhering to standard operating procedures, and evaluating work for quality
  • Strong communication skills verbally and in writing with associates and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Ensure facility productivity by processing work orders to workload and prioritizing orders
  • Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by scanning product in/out using system software
  • Produce and manufacture corrective eyewear in Finish Department (tracing, blocking, inspection, lens production, edging, mounting, assembly, cosmetic add-ons)
  • Produce and manufacture corrective eyewear in Surface Department (layout, taping, blocking, lens curvature/thickness, grinding, hard coating, add-on preparation)
  • Review and analyze work tickets for accuracy, adhere to standard operating procedures, and evaluate produced work for quality
  • Communicate effectively with Walmart associates and vendors
  • Embrace differences, create inclusive culture, build trusting relationships, mentor and develop others
