Requirements

  • Ability to process work orders, prioritize orders, and maintain inventory accuracy using system software (scanning, sorting, storing, moving freight)
  • Skills in producing corrective eyewear in Finish Department (tracing, blocking, first inspection, lens production, edging, mounting lenses, assembling eyewear, cosmetic add-ons like polish/tint)
  • Skills in Surface Department (layout, taping, blocking, creating lens curvature/thickness per prescription, lens grinding, applying hard coating, preparing for add-ons like tint/no glare)
  • Maintain quality standards by reviewing work tickets, adhering to SOPs, and evaluating work for accuracy/quality
  • Communicate effectively verbally/writing with associates and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Ensure facility productivity in Inventory Department by processing/prioritizing work orders
  • Maintain inventory quality/integrity by scanning product in/out, sorting/placing/storing freight/work orders, moving freight manually
  • Produce/manufacture corrective eyewear in Finish Department (prepare lenses: tracing/blocking/inspection/production; use edging equipment; mount lenses/assemble eyewear; complete cosmetic add-ons)
  • Produce/manufacture corrective eyewear in Surface Department (prepare lenses: layout/taping/blocking/curvature/thickness per prescription; grind lenses; apply hard coating; prepare for add-ons)
  • Review/analyze work tickets for accuracy, adhere to SOPs, evaluate produced work for quality
  • Communicate with Walmart associates/vendors verbally/writing
  • Embrace differences/cultures/ideas/experiences, create belonging culture, support/connect associates, provide thriving opportunities
