Requirements

  • Expertise in landscape management, including horticulture methods, planting, pruning, pest/disease identification, and chemical applications

  • Skills in troubleshooting, customer service, resolving complaints, and communicating with facility users

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in teams by using/sharing resources, identifying customer needs/business priorities, coordinating/executing work assignments, providing advice/feedback/support, and modeling adaptation to change
  • Supervise associates by assigning duties, communicating goals, providing feedback/follow-up, monitoring performance, teaching/supporting policies/procedures, and ensuring compliance
  • Participate in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, job shadowing, technician certification, and evaluation of associates
  • Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring equipment/tools/supplies are in working order and available, training associates on logistics/policies, monitoring compliance, and distributing procedures/documentation
  • Assign/support activities for compliance with external regulations (e.g., OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT)
  • Manage assigned areas using horticulture methods, maintain garden beds/containers/landscape plants, perform landscaping tasks (e.g., cutting grass, weed management, raking leaves), apply planting/pruning, and resolve pest/disease issues
  • Leverage technology to complete work orders and maintain records/logs/documentation
  • Troubleshoot, provide customer service, resolve problems/complaints, and ensure work environments meet Walmart policies/procedures
  • Demonstrate/promote/support compliance with policies, ethics, integrity, and Open Door Policy; perform other facility-related maintenance duties
  • Provide expert advice/guidance, develop/execute/improve action plans, support business solutions, build relationships/partnerships, monitor progress, and adapt to changes
  • Demonstrate respect for individuals, drive positive experiences, embrace differences, support belonging, develop others through feedback/coaching/mentoring, recognize contributions, and build trusting relationships
