Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in a related field (Maintenance, Tractor Trailer, etc.)
  • 1-2+ years supervisory experience
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work all shifts (2nd/3rd shift)

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with transportation supervisor
  • Assign priority of work to mechanics and process repair work orders
  • Assist in repair, diagnosis, and other tasks involved in equipment repairs
  • Administer in-house and external repairs of fleet tractors, trailers, and reefers
  • Ensure all maintenance management documentation and equipment is in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Manage department's invoicing
  • Professionally interact directly with fleet industry vendors for parts/supply ordering, repair matters, and fleet support
  • Perform routine DOT BIT inspections
  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
  • Ensure that shop area is clean, organized, and in compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
