Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
Ohio Professional Engineer license required; ability to obtain PE license in multiple states required
15+ years of related Engineering experience (Roadway and/or Transportation related design) required
Knowledge of ODOT standards and processes required, including experience with ODOT plan preparation and review process, ODOT cost estimating, preparation of ODOT schedules and budgets, and design/managing design using ORD
Previous ODOT and Ohio Local Public Agency experience preferred
Strong people and team building skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff
Self-motivated and works well with others
Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills (strong written and verbal skills required)
Ability to oversee, mentor, and supervise project managers and engineering staff required

Responsibilities

Responsible for financial performance of the Ohio offices for the Transportation Market Segment
Track monthly workload to coordinate staffing needs with the Market Segment Lead (MSL) and recommend staff changes as needed
Promote consistent technical excellence
Review and approve contracts and seek input from MSL as appropriate
Effectively coordinate Ohio activities with the MSL
Responsible for client profitability
Approve training/seminars and memberships with annual budget and coordinate with other Area Leads within the Transportation
Maintain a safe working environment
Work collaboratively to grow Wade Trim's presence and market share in the Ohio Transportation market
Review proposals including the scope, schedule and fee and assign as needed
Assist with marketing, proposals, and technical presentations
Perform client visits and routine sales calls
Monitor client satisfaction
Hold regularly scheduled discussions to coordinate business development
Responsible for Ohio Transportation sales and budget
