Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Ohio Professional Engineer license required; ability to obtain PE license in multiple states required
  • 15+ years of related Engineering experience (Roadway and/or Transportation related design) required
  • Knowledge of ODOT standards and processes required, including experience with ODOT plan preparation and review process, ODOT cost estimating, preparation of ODOT schedules and budgets, and design/managing design using ORD
  • Previous ODOT and Ohio Local Public Agency experience preferred
  • Strong people and team building skills to effectively communicate with clients and staff
  • Self-motivated and works well with others
  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills (strong written and verbal skills required)
  • Ability to oversee, mentor, and supervise project managers and engineering staff required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for financial performance of the Ohio offices for the Transportation Market Segment
  • Track monthly workload to coordinate staffing needs with the Market Segment Lead (MSL) and recommend staff changes as needed
  • Promote consistent technical excellence
  • Review and approve contracts and seek input from MSL as appropriate
  • Effectively coordinate Ohio activities with the MSL
  • Responsible for client profitability
  • Approve training/seminars and memberships with annual budget and coordinate with other Area Leads within the Transportation
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Work collaboratively to grow Wade Trim's presence and market share in the Ohio Transportation market
  • Review proposals including the scope, schedule and fee and assign as needed
  • Assist with marketing, proposals, and technical presentations
  • Perform client visits and routine sales calls
  • Monitor client satisfaction
  • Hold regularly scheduled discussions to coordinate business development
  • Responsible for Ohio Transportation sales and budget
