Requirements

  • Ability to lead collaboration among an interdisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in empirically supported therapeutic techniques (e.g., CBT, DBT, family therapy)
  • Experience or capability to work in acute care settings (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient)
  • In-training licensure or fully licensed (for retention bonus eligibility)
  • Commitment to full-time schedule (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday)
  • Adherence to ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and professional conduct
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, State, and regulatory agency compliance
  • Ability to report suspected abuse/neglect per state law and system policy
  • Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and assertive communication skills
  • Receptiveness to feedback for personal/professional development
  • Flexibility to support staffing/scheduling changes and other duties as assigned
  • Ongoing participation in professional development and clinical initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
  • Assess patients' needs through comprehensive evaluations
  • Develop and guide implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Facilitate treatment team meetings and clinical interventions
  • Provide counseling, support, and evidence-based techniques in sessions and milieu
  • Educate patients on mental health/substance use conditions, self-care, and treatment options
  • Document patient progress, sessions, goals, and interventions within required timelines
  • Collaborate with internal/external professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, social workers) for coordinated care
  • Report and document suspected physical, sexual abuse, and/or neglect
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and clinical initiatives/projects
  • Ensure patient safety, facility safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining department process knowledge
