Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field. They should have experience with electrical circuitry, component sizing, and vendor collaboration for test fixture development. Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, C#, NI TestStand, or PLC programming is essential.
The Test Engineer will establish all manufacturing test aspects of new products from design concept to full production release, identifying production test needs and translating them into practical test equipment designs. They will create project checklists and documentation, work with project managers, design new test fixtures, update existing designs, and develop test plans and specifications. The role involves managing project timelines, implementing production and test strategies, procuring test equipment, and creating and releasing comprehensive test documentation.
