Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience validation efforts in high voltage and/or high-power product field
  • Experience in test planning and execution from program inception to final validation signoff
  • Skilled in hands-on hardware and software testing at a system level
  • Prior experience in test plan development, equipment selection and test execution
  • Familiarity with CAN, Ethernet, Linux, and/or LabView
  • Hands on approach to testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with medium and high voltage systems up to 1000VDC
  • Strong technical communication and documentation skills
  • Exposure to UL/IEC industry standards and their related test report generation
  • May require 10-20% domestic travel time if needed

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the software and hardware engineering teams to understand test requirements
  • Develop test procedures to define instructions on test setup and execution
  • Design and modify test fixtures and instrumentation for system level equipment testing
  • Provide directions to lab personnel (both internal and external) in setting up and executing system tests with scopes, high voltage probes, multi-meters, etc
  • Work with multiple external lab partners to set up, execute, and monitor testing
  • Participate in design reviews, requirement reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs and Hazard Analyses
  • Support hands on technical root cause analysis and resolution of issues found during testing
  • Log and manage software and hardware issues to resolution with cross function teams
  • Lead tear down analysis and post processing of hardware at end of test
  • Work with appropriate teams to convey learnings to feed back into requirements
