Requirements

  • Master’s degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Strategic Analysis, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data center strategic planning, upstream infrastructure investment, IDC operations, and/or cloud infrastructure delivery
  • Deep understanding of IDC planning, energy and power delivery models, cloud infrastructure workflows (compute, storage, network), and cost modelling frameworks
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills. Able to manage multi-region projects in matrix environments
  • Excellent proficiency in both Chinese Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) is required to communicate effectively with both global teams and Chinese headquarters
  • Experience in hyperscale cloud vendor operations, colocation contract management, or cross-border IDC delivery in Southeast Asia, EMEA, or the Americas

Responsibilities

  • IDC Infrastructure Planning: Develop long-term and phased planning strategies for data center site selection, resource allocation, and capacity build-out across global regions based on business forecasts
  • Cost Modelling & Budget Management: Construct detailed IDC cost models (CAPEX/OPEX), covering construction, power usage, real estate, and lifecycle operations. Ensure cost control and budget alignment with global cloud expansion goals
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Engage with upstream IDC vendors and construction partners to support land acquisition, infrastructure provisioning, and contract management, ensuring timely and compliant project execution
  • Cloud Operations Oversight: Collaborate with the cloud operations team to monitor post-launch IDC performance, ensuring optimal Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), capacity utilisation, uptime, and long-term sustainability
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, procurement, engineering, and finance teams to align infrastructure delivery with product roadmaps, business demands, and local regulatory requirements
  • Strategic Analysis & Reporting: Provide insights on regional IDC supply trends, market benchmarking, and operational health metrics. Prepare decision-making reports and investment memos for leadership review
