Requirements

  • Technical degree in electronics, electromechanics, mechatronics or automation
  • Experience of 5 years in equipment maintenance technician
  • Basic English
  • Experience in hydraulic systems
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial machinery with PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics, mechanics, and electronic circuits
  • Experience in molding transfer machine repair (Desirable)
  • Experience in Mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulics to perform repairs and maintenance on different types of equipment
  • Skills to identify the root cause of problems in machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge and application of maintenance techniques: preventive and corrective maintenance to prevent failures and repair equipment
  • Skills to understand technical information and interpretation of diagrams to identify problems
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge and application of work safety regulations
  • Ability to organize and plan maintenance activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability for team work
  • Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries)

Responsibilities

  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment
  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions
  • Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs
  • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment
  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required
  • Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development
  • Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems
  • Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations
  • For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes
  • Runs minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports
  • Provides guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area
