- Current EPA license OR the ability to obtain one
- Vocational or Technical Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field
- Type I/Type II Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification for Refrigerant handling
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme temperatures
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair, with a focus on boilers, chillers, RTUs, MAUs, and refrigeration equipment (preferred)
- Strong understanding of HVAC/R systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning principles (preferred)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (preferred)
- Additional certifications (e.g. OSHA, ASHRAE) (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment, boilers, chillers, RTUs, MAUs, and refrigeration equipment
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with HVAC systems and equipment
- Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
- Conducting energy audits and making recommendations for energy-efficient upgrades
- Collaborating with other maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and repair logs
- Providing excellent customer service to store employees and management
- Staying up to date with industry developments and manufacturer recommendations
- Participating in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency calls
