Requirements

Post-secondary education equivalent to one year of study at a technical college or equivalent (asset)
2 to 3 years of related technical experience
Working knowledge of power generation and welding equipment, applications, and welding equipment (asset)
Valid driver's license
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills (preferred)
Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision (preferred)
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment (preferred)
Ability to make critical decisions while adhering to company procedures (preferred)
Ability to proactively address or find solutions to work-related issues (preferred)

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe working environment by complying with Airgas/Red-D-Arc health and safety guidelines
Repair and refurbish all electric drives and motors
Assemble electric, diesel, gas, and propane equipment for rental
Test and calibrate machines to ensure they are functional for rental or sale
Repaint parts, touch up paint, and apply decals to welders to maintain overall appearance
Replace defective parts and perform necessary preventive maintenance
Order parts needed to perform repairs
Inspect returned equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and/or has not been damaged by the customer
Use a forklift, pallet jack, or other necessary equipment to store the required parts in the workshop
Ensure that the work environment is always clean and organized
Prepare and complete documentation for all machine repairs
Occasionally provide after-sales service for equipment and customers off-site
Maintain communication with all branch staff
Occasionally advise customers on the equipment best suited to their projects
